Llega nuevamente a Ediciones el gran artista y amigo Julien Bayle, después 4 años de que publicamos su trabajo Void propagate. 'the.collapse', inaugura una nueva línea de lanzamientos llamada 'Hiperobjetos', dedicada a la experimentación-investigación conceptual y material con sonoridad. El trabajo de Bayle es especialmente elocuente en este sentido y bastante propicio para los tiempos en los que vivimos:

"the.collapse presenta una serie de tensiones y rupturas que se responden entre sí como una suerte de lucha permanente entre poder y debilidad. Cuenta una historia sobre un frágil equilibrio entre el sentimiento humano de omnipotencia y la fragilidad del sistema global en el que se basa todo lo anterior. Como metáfora de la obra de Ubú rey de Jarry, el colapso figura y vincula el declive cuasi físico de la sociedad globalizada en decadencia frente al reinado del rey. A través de estas 5 piezas, traté de crear una tensión sofocante, creciente y siendo más y más audible a través de la escucha profunda. Cada pista muestra un momento específico en el tiempo y algunas podrían sentirse como una clasificación inversa de acuerdo con el último título (apertura); Este orden específico se enfatiza la idea de la desorientación, tratando de impulsar nuestros sentimientos a través de la confusión y el caos: ¿Cuál es el comienzo? ¿el fin? ¿Es el final, el verdadero final de la historia? ¿Han desaparecido las tensiones o siguen creciendo hasta la próxima ruptura física?"

the.collapse ha sido compuesto y organizado a través de una serie de grabaciones sonoras específicas en el estudio, usando muestras de grabación de campo y síntesis, todo como grabaciones en vivo para mantener la sensación de improvisación y el tacto, manteniendo posibles errores y perturbaciones ambientales y el hecho de que no tenemos más remedio que lidiar con ello.

"the.collapse features a series of tension & rupture responding each other as a kind of permanent struggle between power & weakness. it tells a story about a fragile balance between the human feeling of omnipotency and the fragility of global system on which everything above is based. as a metaphor calling up Jarry’s Ubu Roi play, the.collapse figures and links king reign’s declining vs globalized society’s quasi-physical crackling. through these 5 pieces, I tried to create a suffocating tension, growing up and being more & more audible through deep listening. each track figures a specific moment in time and some could feel a reverse sorting according to the last one title (opening) ; this specific order emphasizes the idea of disorientation, trying to push our feeling further through confusion and chaos, what is the beginning? the end ? is the end, the real end of story ? did the tensions have disappeared or are they still growing up until the next physical rupture?"

the.collapse has been composed and arranged through a series of specific sound recording in studio, using field recorded samples and synthesis, all as live recordings in order to keep the improvisation feeling and touch more collectable, keeping error & environmental disturbances possible and the fact we have no choice but dealing with it.
